Slow Cooker Saturday: Clever Chili

Jenn from Something Clever 2.0 sent me her very own Chili recipe. What better name to give it than Clever Chili?
This is gluten free if you don't add cheese and Paleo if you take out the beans, cheese, and sour cream.
Hope you enjoy!!!

1 lb. ground turkey
½ large white onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
3-5 cloves minced garlic (to taste, depending on size)
½ tsp. cayenne pepper
1-16 oz. can dark red kidney beans, drained
1-14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained
3-8 oz. cans tomato sauce

Brown turkey in frying pan, combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook 4-6 hours on high, or 6-8 hours on low.
I like to serve it with shredded cheese or sour cream on top, and a baguette for dipping.
Serves: four meals, or 6-8 snacks.

  3. I absolutely love a good bowl of chili, but have never tried any with turkey. That's about to change. Thanks for the recipe!
