Double Digits: M Turns 10!

I cannot believe my baby girl...well my oldest baby girl is turning 10. I remember the very moment she came into this world and cried for the very first time. I remember the time she took her first steps. I remember her first words, her first song, her first sentence. I remember when she lost her first tooth and her first day of kindergarten. I remember the first time someone really hurt her feelings. I remember the monumental moments that have happened these past ten years. I can say that it has all happened way too fast and I'm not ready for what is to come. She is growing into a beautiful, intelligent, loving, and caring young lady. She is blossoming every day. As I watch her grow I can't help but remember the little girl who would sing to me and brush my hair. I miss that little girl but I enjoy watching her grow. **sighs** It is inevitable either way.

With her birthday being so close to Halloween, we tend to make her party a "spooky" party. This year we did just that. We decorated our back yard and invited some of the neighborhood kids over. The kids wore their costumes and came over for some fun. We decorated canvas bags with fabric markers so the kids could have some cool Trick Or Treat bags. We played pin the hat on the skeleton and wrap the mummy. The kids decorated their own cupcakes with frosting, sprinkles, and gummy body parts. We ended the night with a spooky story and my husband and friend's daughter came out of the woods with masks and silly string to scare the kids. It was great! We had purple lights, a fogger, lighted balloons, and all sorts of decorations. Michaela and her friends were so excited and they all had a great time.

You can see all the pictures from the party below. I may cry a little tomorrow (her actual birthday) since she will officially be in the double digits. So bitter sweet.
As always, thanks for reading.
