I met my friend Brittany at our Centering Group when we were both pregnant. Centering is a program they offer on our base that allows pregnant women to meet once a month (at least) to discuss their pregnancy, ask questions, and learn in a group setting. We would see our doctor before each meeting and then sit around in a circle and basically chat about our issues. I was the only military spouse as all of the women were active duty Navy, Army, or Air Force. A group of awesome women that I got to know pretty well. Brittany and I hit it off and we kept in touch. Brittany is active duty Navy and so is her husband. Unfortunately for her, he is stationed in another state and she has the role of single mom while serving active duty. I commend her in her journey as she is such a fantastic mom.
She had her baby girl Sophia 4 days before I had Emily. We decided that sense the babies were old enough to "play" we would turn our Sunday evening dinner plans into a play date for the kids.
The babies did great. Sophia is such a happy baby and so easy going. They just stared at each other and smiled. Emily did take Sophia's sock off of her foot! hahaha!!! I fixed a nice big dinner for everyone and the girls just hung out and watched us eat. It was a great evening for all of us. Sophia starts in the daycare room next to Emily tomorrow, so they will see more of each other.
Below are pictures from our evening. Hope you enjoy! As always, thanks for reading!

Awww they are too stinking cute! I applaud single military moms whether they're active duty or spouses cause it must be harder. Good thing you have playdates to keep the little ones busy while you get to spend time with another adult.
